Overview

DB Primary and SchoolPing are New Era Technology solutions for the education sector.

DB Primary learning platform is aimed for primary schools across UK. SchoolPing messaging service is part of the DB Primary platform, which is used to send messages by school staff to parents.

Project role

UX/UI Designer and Frontend Team Lead

I have been involved in designing UI mocks for product features, developing the frontend using HTML, CSS and Javascript.

I also work alongside the backend team to make any connections on the UI. As part of SchoolPing Forms, I did some UI designs and got an opportunity to use React for building the frontend (screenshots below).

Technical challenge

While working on DB Primary projects, I learnt a lot more about using and working with JSP files. I also upgraded my Javascript knowledge and picked up React skills too.

Design involvement

For all DB Primary new product feature designs, I have kept the current design styles of the product in mind, for consistancy. Also, my designs are particularly focussed on the end user like children, parents, teachers or administrators.
